Well it's been awhile since I've posted, but here is a small sweet post about a darling couple.  They were married 10 years ago but never had a wedding, so for their 10th anniversary they decided to have a celebration!  My friend  Dave Shilling Photography took these fabulous images.  They were taken at the  Carvalho Family Winery.

I love Dave's use of this old pipe

Oz the Great and Terrible Wedding Table Design

Well my computer is finally ready to let me post photos so here are the last I have from our amazing Oz the Great and Terrible Photo Shoot.
Did you see the movie? I was able to see it opening day, fabulous!  And I must say I was happy how we were able to capture the feeling and colors of Oz in our shoot.

Mimi and company provided these amazing linens.  The chandelier if from the find, I couldn't resist covering it in draping flowers. Don't you love the Mody Dick pod? Really something straight out of oz!

More fabulous paper from Honey Paperie and a cookie favor from Sweet Cakes by Rebecca

Stephanie from Honey Paperie created the gold hot air balloons that she then framed in black.  Gloriosa lilies, bottle brush protea, Moby Dick pods, dahilas and much more filled the center of the table to give that fantasy quality.  What bride and groom wouldn't want to dine here?

And what better way to end your wedding day than with an amazing dessert table.  Rebecca with Sweet cakes by Rebecca filled our Oz table with delights.  And how amazing is the gold cake?  Not only do Sweet Cakes desserts look amazing, they taste amazing as well!

Oz the Great and Powerful day 8 countdown to the movie!

In ode to the original Wizard of Oz movie, Stephanie of Honey Paperie, created a field of paper poppies for our bride to lay down and fall asleep.

Our wicked Oz bridal bouquet looks lush against this purple velvet chair.

We gave our wizard, not James Franco, but Victor, a change of boutonniere, while one of our witches wrapped her arms around him  Alana Snider did an amazing job with the nails!

I'm in love with this fabulous gold monkey created by Honey Paperie! Again, another ode the original Wizard of Oz as well as the new Oz the Great and Powerful!

What Oz shoot would be complete without ruby shoes!!!!  Rebecca of Sweet Cakes by Rebecca, although, typically a maker of desserts and fabulous wedding cakes, hand rubied these shoes!

Oz the Great and Powerful Countdown

I don't know about you, but I'm so excited for the new "Oz the Great and Powerful movie to open.  With it's fabulous cast, James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz it will be a beautiful movie to watch!
To build up a little anticipation for the film I thought it would be fun to do a daily countdown using images from an amazing photo shoot Blooms by Martha Andrews was part of a few weeks back.
 So here we go!
How gorgeous is this fabulous invitation done by Honey Paperie

Blooms by Martha Andrews created a fitting bouquet for the land of Oz, using Monkey tails, ping pong scabiosa, anenomies and then giled black calla lilies to add an elegant edge to this bridal bouquet.

James Franco was busy to the day of the shoot, but we think our model Victor was perfect!  He our Oz groom is wearing a boutonniere made up of monkey tails and ping pong scabiosa.

What a wicked pair!

How fabulous are these nails by Alena Snider?  And the little cake by Sweet Cakes by Rebecca, temptation you just can't refuse.

More to come tomorrow in our fabulous Oz wedding shoot countdown.

Wedding at the Sutter Club Sacramento

This wedding at the Sutter Club was full of fun little touches.  The bride wanted the guests to fill as if they were at home, food was spread in each room so that guests could mingle from room to room.
As guests came into the Sutter Club the Knight in no so shining armor greeted them wearing a boutonniere.
For the lobby chandleir we hung a beautiful floral garland with flowers that were chosen to bring out the colors in the tapestry
In the bar we placed mint julep cups filled with white football mums and the Alabama A, in honor of the mother of the bride and her families loyalty to the University of Alabama.  As fate would have it, the Crimson team had a game the day of the wedding that the bride chose to have on in the bar for friend's and family to watch.
Stephanie from Honey Paperie created the Crimson A for our little arrangement.

A beautiful mix of peonies, roses, fern fonds, millet scabiosa, dahlias, cox comb and calla lilies made up the brides bouquet.
I loved creating this floral piece to sit on the mantle of the library of the Sutter Club
