Viansa Wedding Sonoma California

Chun called me from Hawaii to plan her Sonoma wedding. We never actually met face to face until the day of the wedding but between phone calls and emails I was able to capture the vision she had for her wedding day.
Chun and Marc were married at the beautiful Viansa winery in Sonoma, http://www.viansa.com/

Elegant simplicity, an aisle of baby's breath.

The reception was and eclectic mix of containers. Each table was done with it's own style.

Whitney and Kyle's Wedding at The Citizen Hotel Sacramento

This ceremony structure was custom made for weddings at the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, it is painted the same color as the downstairs ballroom. I offer it exclusively to Blooms Brides.

Jessica from Stout Photography is just amazing, I love this image. blog.stoutphoto.com

I think the white and pops of green sword fern brought such a freshness to Whitney's bridal bouquet. White peonies, antique roses, white dahlias make for a spectacular brides bouquet.

For our first flower girl, Blooms by Martha Andrews, created a basket out of flowers. We added pops of black to coordinate with the over all look of the black and white wedding.

For the second flower girl, Blooms by Martha Andrews created a flower girl wand. Flower girls love feeling like a princess with their wands made of flowers.

The bridesmaids carried simple bridesmaids bouquets of anemones and berries surrounded by sword fern. These black and white anemones are a favorite right now but have limited availability.

Bridal party flowers all in a row, so fresh and pretty.

The bride and bridesmaids sitting pretty in the lobby of Sacramento's beautiful Citizen Hotel.

The groom wore a boutonniere made up of a black and white anemone and berries. The stems were then wrapped in gold ribbon.

Nothing is more romantic than candlelight. For Whitney and Kyle's wedding ceremony we created a solid candlelit aisle.

Candlelit aisle detail.

How cool is is this image? Jessica, from Stout Photography, just won an award for this fabulous photo. It's one of my all time favorite photographs.

The head table.

A large cluster of votive candles sat at the base of each centerpiece. All these items are available to Blooms brides. Mercury glass in silver and gold, mint julep cups, and much more.

Classic elegance, a white centerpiece sitting on a silver candelabra.

We created 2 styles of centerpieces the second was a lower flora sitting on a mercury glass stand.

Guests enjoying dinner on the beautiful terrace of the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento.

I love hanging things for weddings, I think it brings the room together, lowers the ceiling to fill up the room. For Whitney's wedding we hung crystals with votive candles. Again, more romantic candle lite for the dancing.

The Happy bridal party at the head table.

Sarah & Josh on Style Me Pretty

This week Style me Pretty featured Sarah and Josh's wedding! It was one of my favorites for lots of reasons!

When Sarah and I first talked she mentioned wanting a planner so I told her to call the fabulous Michalea of Plush www.plushweddings.com. From there Michalea brought together a fabulous team of vendors to create an amazing wedding day! I love working with Michalea and putting our heads together to come up with wedding design. Josh's family built the wooden walls that helped create an outdoor room for the ceremony. Then Michalea brought in CMC to drape the barn walls to add elegance for the reception.

A thank you note to make my day

On Saturday I did the flowers for the sister of my friend and fabulous wedding planner, Catriona of www.catrinamaria.com.

The wedding was at the beautiful River Highlands Ranch and there was a wonderful team of top notch wedding vendors! I can't wait to show you more photos.

But the point of this blog post is that the sweet bride and groom sent me an email in the wee hours of the morning. So thoughtful and just what I needed to start my week.

"We are about to leave on our honeymoon but before we take off I just had to let you know what a crazy beautiful amazing job you did. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes, everything was so gorgeous! Thank you so much for all your hard work, please let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

Marianne and Darwin"

Jennifer with the Memory Journalists was the amazing photographer of the day!

Wedding at Whitney Oaks

All photos by Jessica of Stout Photography http://blog.stoutphoto.com/

Michelle and Justin were married on a cloudy day at Whitney Oaks Country Club. The sky was full of clouds with the sun peaking through all during our set up and the rain held off until just after the ceremony, and you know what they say, rain is a sign of good luck on your wedding day.

Michelle choose a pallet of pinks for her decor, roses, and the ever favorite peony were used in the bridal party bouquets. After the wedding the girls placed their bouquets in vases we provided all along the head table.

The bride decided to use two different styled centerpieces. One a tall branch arrangement with hanging candles and crystals and a low arrangment done in pinks. We placed rose petals at the base of each arrangement along with votive candles.
