Wedding at Mulvaneys

Happy New Year! And Congratulations to all you newly engaged couples!
Here is a little wedding eye candy for you, one of my favorites.
Today I will post the Wedding ceremony and Cocktail hour photos, then another day I will post the amazing wedding reception photographers.

Our bride started her day out at the lovely Citizen Hotel in downtown Sacramento.

The lobby of the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento is a favorite for brides and wedding photographers

We used an eclectic mix of flowers, dahlias, peonies, anemones, dusty miller scabiosa and lots of other fun flowers to create a beautiful brides bouquet

We blinged out the brides bouquet using gorgeous rhinestone garland and centered the bridal bouquet with a beautiful rhinestone broach.

For the bridesmaids flowers we went with a tad more pale hue
The groom and groomsmen boutonnieres were made up with ping pong scabiosa and silver bruniea

Blooms created mossy flower girl baskets with succulent accents

Mulvaneys Courtyard

We took the existing vines and added in flowers from the wedding décor to add color and beauty

We placed a series of floral arrangements and succulents on the ground down the ceremony aisle.  We were then able to repurpose these flowers for the cocktail tables.

The bride and grooms initials greeted the guests as they entered the cocktail hour

So many fun floral details throughout Mulvaney's

We hung glass vases with flowers and candles from the ceiling of the cocktail lounge

Calistoga Ranch Wedding Fall 2012

I love weddings, the opportunity to work at many different venues.  Calistoga Ranch, in Calistoga California, part of the amazing Napa Wine country, is truly a magical place.  Each guest stays in their own "cabin" and there is such a sense of calm and serenity, it is truly a one of a kind experience to be there.
Lindsay called me from Canada, her family had stumbled upon Calistoga Ranch a few years back and she wanted to come back here to be married.  We had some great conversations and planned the whole wedding decor over the phone and through emails.  Lindsay used Gabe of Perspective Eye Photography as her wedding photographer, he did an amazing job capturing their day.  I LOVE this shot with the hair spray, he made a hair product look so beautiful!

Lindsay and Guillaume have their first look, what a fairy tale spot.

Such a sweet look of love, what a marriage ceremony is all about

Lindsay's bridal bouquet was made up of antique roses, herbs, and lavender.  Lot's of texture.  Her brides bouquet really went with the surroundings.

Candle light greeted the wedding guests at the entrance
The wine cave, we used a garland of olive branches to trim the chandeliers, it's all in the details, the garland made the wedding reception festive.
Each sconce was graced with a cluster of roses and olive branches. We created several different styles of centerpieces to go down the center of the two kings tables.  Some had grapes and kale, along with ranuculus, roses, and lavender, we had little vases with olive branches and their olives.  We included succulents and lots of candles to add to the romance of this wedding reception.

Flower Girl Wagon

Do you have a flower girl that is very young?  Maybe not yet walking or little enough to be very unpredictable?  A wagon is a great way to get that little girl down the aisle.
Here is a flower girl wagon we decorated not to long ago.

Jocie's Wedding

Jocie's wedding was dear to my heart. I met her when she was 8 months old.  She grew up with my older girls. So I was thrilled to be able to do her wedding flowers.

We hung mason jars down the aisle

Jocie's little nieces

So sweet to see Matt walk Jocie down the aisle

For years we went to Jocies house for picnics and dinners, we had lots of balloon tosses, races, tug of wars etc... right here  on  this lawn where Jocie got married.
