I love weddings, the opportunity to work at many different venues. Calistoga Ranch, in Calistoga California, part of the amazing Napa Wine country, is truly a magical place. Each guest stays in their own "cabin" and there is such a sense of calm and serenity, it is truly a one of a kind experience to be there.
Lindsay called me from Canada, her family had stumbled upon Calistoga Ranch a few years back and she wanted to come back here to be married. We had some great conversations and planned the whole wedding decor over the phone and through emails. Lindsay used Gabe of Perspective Eye Photography as her wedding photographer, he did an amazing job capturing their day. I LOVE this shot with the hair spray, he made a hair product look so beautiful!
Lindsay and her dad
Lindsay and Guillaume have their first look, what a fairy tale spot.
Simple clusters of baby's breath line the aisle
Lindsay's dad walks her down the aisle
Such a sweet look of love, what a marriage ceremony is all about
Lindsay's bridal bouquet was made up of antique roses, herbs, and lavender. Lot's of texture. Her brides bouquet really went with the surroundings.
The lovely entrance to the wine cave at Calistoga Ranch
Candle light greeted the wedding guests at the entrance
The wine cave, we used a garland of olive branches to trim the chandeliers, it's all in the details, the garland made the wedding reception festive.
Each sconce was graced with a cluster of roses and olive branches. We created several different styles of centerpieces to go down the center of the two kings tables. Some had grapes and kale, along with ranuculus, roses, and lavender, we had little vases with olive branches and their olives. We included succulents and lots of candles to add to the romance of this wedding reception.

It's been a while since I have posted, gets a bit crazy during wedding season. Here is a little taste of one of our June weddings at Berghold Winery in Lodi.
Ivory, pale pinks and blush were the colors of the wedding flowers. I love a pretty petal aisle and the large flower arrangments defining the aisle. Such a pretty wedding ceremony aisle for a bride to walk down.

Wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma
This wedding took place at the Lodge at Sonoma in Sonoma California. Our bride wanted a soft vintage feeling. For the bouquets we used soft blushes and ivory. Cabbage roses, peonies, spray roses made up the bridal party flowers.
For the ceremony we kept it soft and simple using babies breath on the chairs with large satin ribbon, and lanterns with candles to add a lovely glow.
Each table at the reception had an eclectic mix of containers, Mercury glass, birch vases, vintage bottles, etc... We used dinner plate dahlias, cabbage roses, antique roses, scabiosa pods, veronica etc..

A little Napa Winery Wedding

Liz was planning her destination wedding in Napa California and contacted me through email. We never met, but planned the whole wedding through phone and email. It was small but oh so pretty. I few peacock feathers to add some pop to the bridal bouquet and table centerpieces.

Wedding at Hans Fahden Winery Calistoga California

We also created swirling petal aisle for the bride to walk on to meet the groom.
Floating candles with submerged orchids adorned the cocktail tables.
The bride and each bridesmaid carried a different variety of orchids. The bride carried purple phalaenopsis orchid. Then the bridesmaids carried cymbidium orchids and dendrobium orchids.
The head table for the bride and groom in the wine cave. Wall candles draped in floral garland.
