Rehearsal Dinner @ Calistoga Ranch Calistoga California

Jennifer and Maciej live in New York but were planning a Calistoga wedding. So to make things a little easier, they choose to have their rehearsal dinner on site at Calistoga Ranch where their wedding would take place the next day. Jennifers' mom was instrumental in helping to design and coordinate the weekend. They went with Mexican food for the rehearsal dinner and Gail made sure the theme was carried througout the evening. From the table linens she had flown in from a resort in Mexico, the family had vacationed there, to the mariachi players.
Blooms, didn't want to miss a detail either! So we opened lots of cans and bottles of hot sauce to create the flower arrangements in. I loved the finished product.
Careful though, if you decide to use those cute little hot sauce bottles, my staff and I were coughing for an hour as we poured out the hot sauce, but hey, it clears the sinus. Hey what can I say we are dedicated.

Succulent fun for weddings

Succulents are very big in wedding flowers this season. Rather than go with the natural, earthy look, I thought it would be fun to mix it up and add bright colors. Bringing together, craspedia, succulents, and green Kermit mums. Then wrapping it all in fabulous polka dots and green buttons.
For centerpieces apothecary jars filled with succulents and flowers, with little floral balls to accent.
Then for the wedding guest table a potted topiary of green Kermit mums and Billy balls.

Sea Shell Wedding Flowers

We have all seen sand and shells in the bottom of vases, for your beach wedding by the ocean, why not carry the theme all the way through and add shells to your personal flowers, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages?
For this beach wedding, I placed shells in the calla lillies and orchids.
I love the subtle way the ocean theme comes through in these wedding flowers.

Fruit and flowers a lovely backyard wedding

Fruit and flowers.

For this back yard wedding, I created a combination of centerpieces using flowers and produce. Artichoke, limes, lemons, oranges.

Using several styles of glass, bowls, urns, we created an eclectic feel to the tables.

On the buffet we created a three tiered piece, using orchids, roses, thistle, berries, hydrangeas, berries etc...

Then we placed lanters around to add candlelite abmbiance. One of the favorite pieces of this wedding is the fabuous wedding cake. White chocolate shavings and hydrangeas in between the layers.

Jennifer & Eric at the Citizen Hotel

Jennifer and Eric were married at the end of December at the beautiful Citizen Hotel.
They started by having a candle light ceremony in the ballroom. We lined the aisle a solid line of candles, then 6 candleabras surrounded the columns where they took their wedding vows.
After the wedding the bride and groom and their wedding guests went upstairs to the terrace for their sit down dinner. Jennifer choose manzanita branches hung with candles and a collar of white hydrangeas.
We also hung candles from crystals to enhance the chandeliers in the Terrace.
Along with the wedding cake, Jennifer and Eric choose to treat their wedding guests to an ice cream bar! The fabulous bar was provided by Carissa of Sugar and Spice.

St. Helena Wedding at Go Fish Restaraunt

Margot called me from Canada to help with her wedding in St. Helena. She was married at the Go Fish Restaurant. Go Fish has a great outdoor ceremony and their patio is lovely for receptions.
I used an eclectic mix roses, scabiosa, olive branches, moss, craspidia, dahlias, cosmos and other fun stuff.
I often work with brides from out of state planning weddings in Northern California. Margot and I never met face to face, yet she loved her flowers, here is her thank you note. I get so happy when my brides love their flowers.
, Martha, thank you so much for the beautiful job you did with our flowers. We were absolutely blown away by everything, and the fact that you did such a perfect job without even meeting us is unbelievable! As you may remember, I had planned for my bridesmaids to wear fall colours, but they kind of ended up in a mishmash of random colours... Somehow, the bouquets matched perfectly - even the fuschia! Perfect - you couldn't have done a better job if I had sent you dress swatches! :)

Thanks so much!

Margot
